The Busch-CO Alarm detector is a carbon monoxide alarm detector and is equipped with an electrochemical sensor. It reports as soon as the highly toxic gas is detected in the room.

Carbon monoxide (CO) is an imperceptible, colorless, odorless and tasteless, highly toxic gas. When the gas escapes, it is therefore also referred to as "creeping death". CO is produced, among other things, by the incomplete combustion of carbon-containing substances with insufficient oxygen supply. Carbon monoxide and air have approximately the same density, but carbon monoxide is somewhat lighter. Thus, when CO leaves the CO source, it first disperses at the same level and then spreads randomly throughout the room (under normal room conditions). Carbon monoxide is so dangerous because it is not stopped by walls, ceilings and floors. It moves unimpeded even through concrete and stone walls. What this means for you is that even if there is no potential source of danger in your home, carbon monoxide can still enter your home through adjacent rooms.
